********************************************** * SHOWW2 - Flamethrower mod by Rancid * ********************************************** ________________ Version 0.1 BETA Install: 1-Extract into the /mods folder 2-Activate with in-game menu (not tested with other weapon mods, but will probably 'cause conflicts) I've included a modified version of the first russian campaign map - Chepel, use that to experiment (don't forget to try and mount it in the tank ;D ) _________________________________________________ Description: The flamethrower replaces the PTRS AT rifle while keeping the PTRD rifle intact. It includes a pretty flame effect and will ignite almost everything. The flamethrower can be mounted in vehicles, like any MG. If you're having trouble destroying tanks, try aiming for the sides or rear to ignite the engine. Currently a direct hit on a human won't always 'cause him to ignite, in such a case, aim for the ground besides him, it'll do the job just as well ;) _________________________________________________ IMPORTANT INFO FOR MAPMAKERS: If you want to add the flamethrower to your map, just add a PTRS and use the ammo "ammo fire" -the FLAMETHROWER is 4 squares wide by 3 squares high -the ammo is 2 squares wide by 3 squares high -the FLAMETHROWER has a capacity of 100units of ammo -currently the ammo only stacks in units of 5 in soldier inventories :( _________________________________________________ Version 0.1 BETA -The ammo class for the flamethrower is "ammo fire" -New inventory images -Slightly changed model appearance (PTRS shortened using the alpha channel in textures) -New ammo with inventory images -New fire effect -New sound Known issues: -Barrels of fuel can only stack up to 5 units (like the normal ptrs ammo) -Certain objects (humans and some sheds for example) don't trigger the burning effect...yet ;) -No automatic fire, keep clicking :P _________________________________________________ SPECIAL THANKS to everyone in the Codemasters - Soldiers forum for encouraging me to continue whenever i thought this mod was impossible to achieve and for shelling out the ideas and reference materials. ( {AGM}Visco and Icewindo particularly ) Also great thanks to all the modders for and Steinfisch for his editor!
